Seventy-five per cent of the 250 acres (1kmĀ²) of the land is covered with dense woods, consisting of mature hardwood trees (maple, cherry, beech, birch, tamarack) and evergreens (pine, spruce, scotch pine, cedar). There is also a small lime quarry and some agricultural space. The area surrounding the lake and the creeks support a variety of plant and animal species including the very rare Goldenseal.
